Returns, Refunds, Shipping & Limited Warranty Policy

1. Custom Orders & Final Sale

All Tanari Earth products are custom-built to order based on customer-approved specifications.

  • All custom orders are final sale

  • Orders cannot be canceled once placed

  • All deposits are non-refundable, regardless of production stage

Because products are custom-made, Tanari Earth does not accept returns or cancellations except as expressly stated in this policy or as required by applicable law.

2. Order Confirmation & Deposits

  • Orders are considered confirmed only after the initial deposit is received

  • Production does not begin until:

    • Payment is received, and

    • Written specifications are approved by the customer

3. Order Changes

  • Customers may request changes after ordering

  • Changes will be accommodated when reasonably possible, depending on production stage

  • Additional costs, delays, or revised specifications may apply

  • All changes must be submitted and approved in writing

4. Estimated Lead Times & Shipping Delays

Tanari Earth provides best-estimate timelines for manufacturing, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery. Typical estimates range from 3–4 months, but timelines are not guaranteed.

Tanari Earth does not control:

  • Shipping carriers

  • Ports or freight handlers

  • Customs authorities

  • Weather or global supply-chain disruptions

Accordingly:

  • Shipping or customs delays do not qualify for refunds or order cancellation

  • Delays alone do not constitute a breach of contract

5. Six-Month Delivery Obligation & Conditional Refund Eligibility

Tanari Earth has six (6) months from order confirmation to fulfill delivery obligations without refunds being required.

If the product has not arrived after six (6) months, the customer may submit a written refund request. Refund eligibility is conditional, not automatic, and subject to review.

Approved refunds may exclude non-recoverable costs, including but not limited to:

  • Custom fabrication

  • Materials

  • International shipping

  • Port, customs, and handling fees already incurred

Refunds will not be granted if delays are caused by customer action or inaction, including failure to provide information, site readiness issues, or missed delivery coordination.

6. Tracking & Delivery Updates

Due to the nature of custom manufacturing and international freight:

  • Real-time tracking may not be available

  • Updates will be provided when available and upon request

7. Freight Delivery Inspection (72-Hour Window)

Customers are responsible for inspecting their delivery immediately upon receipt.

  • All damage, missing components, or delivery-related issues must be:

    • Reported within seventy-two (72) hours of delivery

    • Submitted in writing

    • Accompanied by clear photo and/or video documentation, including packaging

Failure to report issues within this window may void freight claims and limit remedies.

8. Damage, Defects & Remedies

Tanari Earth stands behind the quality of its products.

If a product arrives with verified defects or damage not caused by the customer, Tanari Earth may, at its discretion:

  • Provide replacement parts

  • Offer troubleshooting or assembly support

  • Replace the product in cases of severe damage or material non-conformance with approved specifications

9. Limited Warranty (Residential Use Only)

Tanari Earth provides a One (1) Year Limited Warranty from the date of delivery covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wood movement, checking, or cosmetic variation

  • Natural weathering, fading, or patina

  • Improper installation or electrical work

  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect

  • Failure to perform required maintenance

  • Unauthorized modifications

  • Damage caused by environmental exposure without proper sealing or protection

Warranty remedies are limited to repair or replacement at Tanari Earth’s discretion. Labor, removal, reinstallation, or site costs are not included unless agreed to in writing.

10. Customer Care & Maintenance

Customers are responsible for:

  • Proper installation and electrical compliance

  • Routine inspection and maintenance

  • Ongoing wood care and weather protection

Failure to maintain the product properly may void warranty coverage.

11. Commercial & Hospitality Use Exclusion

Unless expressly agreed to in writing, Tanari Earth products are sold for residential use only.

Use in the following settings voids the residential warranty:

  • Commercial or hospitality properties

  • Short-term rentals (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.)

  • Spas, gyms, wellness centers

  • Multi-user or high-frequency environments

Commercial installations require separate written approval, pricing, and warranty terms.

12. Force Majeure

Tanari Earth is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor strikes, port closures, pandemics, government actions, or supply-chain disruptions.

Such events do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund within the six-month delivery window.

13. Dispute Resolution (Mediation & Arbitration)

Any dispute arising from or related to Tanari Earth products shall be resolved as follows:

  1. Good-faith mediation in California

  2. If unresolved, binding arbitration administered under American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules

  3. Claims must be brought individually; class actions are not permitted

Each party bears its own legal costs unless otherwise required by law.

14. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue lies exclusively in California.

15. California Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights provided to consumers under applicable California law. Where required, statutory consumer protections apply.

16. Customer Acknowledgment

By placing an order, submitting payment, or accepting delivery, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
